UrbanScapes
Supercharged ideas can inspire new change agents to address paradigm shifts in climate change like urban well-being. One such example began with 15-Minute City webinars, where topics like the urban planning approach put people, not vehicles, at the center of urban transformation and solve the ill effects of our built environment from global warming in cities. Our client, the host of a local county-supported series of 15-Minute Cities webinars, became purpose-driven to create a blog to communicate changes to our built environment and demonstrate how highly functional cities and urban scapes focus on city planning, land use law, and tax policy.
Overview: Assessment, research, strategic planning, brand naming and domain research, brand and identity design, clear positioning, blog framework and design, visual storyline, sample content creation, and media promotion planning.
Challenges:
As with some clients constrained by full-time jobs, availability, and time for creative output, this project required highly flexible collaboration and support services.
What we did
The process began by designing promotional digital and print marketing materials for a series of 15-Minute City webinars led by the client and sponsored by the Hudson Country Economic Development Corporation and MS&B law firm. The webinar series transitioned into the branding project for the blog. We clarified and established the original blog name, UrbanScapes, and domain availability and created a unique design for the brand and proof of concept (POC) for the blog with text and integrated visual storylines. We also wrote marketing solutions for a newsletter, email promotions, and social media strategies with variations on themes and data assets.
Impact
The creative direction, design, and production services resulted in the brand's clear identity, framework, and functionality.
